Why ECE is important, what to look for in quality education, and ways to support your educators.

“The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover.”

Jean Piaget

Welcome to The ECE Mommy!

A little background about me, Katie! I graduated from UNCG in 2014 with my Bachelor’s in Sociology and in 2020 with my Master’s in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with young children for many years as a babysitter, part-time and full-time nanny, and now as a Preschool Director as well as Summer Camp. I have a strong passion for young children, education, and working with parents.

In my personal life, I have an adoring husband who I met in college and can truly say it was love at first sight. We are the parents to two young children who you will hear tons about in my blog posts.
